Training

Writing is a key skill in today’s knowledge-based societies. It is an educational goal and starting point. Being a competent writer not only means being familiar with grammar and spelling. You also need to be able to present and outline information, insights and connections in a way that is precise and suitable for your audience. (Academic) writing has additional prerequisites, from self-organization and media literacy to in-depth knowledge of the context and objectives of your communication, the type of text you are about to write, and the audience you wish to address. Learning how to write successfully requires, above all, practice.

In academia, as in numerous other fields, writing is an essential part of your everyday professional life. It is widely believed that we learn everything there is to know about writing in school. Yet the complexity of the texts you need to be able to read, understand, and produce increases significantly once you enter university or embark on a career path. Experience has shown that numerous adult writers – and their texts – benefit significantly from training. It allows them to write better and with considerably less effort. All my workshops and courses are tailored to your specific needs and requirements. Please contact me for more information.
